NTPGA Junior Golf Foundation Scholarships 

The Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation is pleased to continue its charitable commitment to educational services through its Scholarship Program. In 2017, 20+ scholarships, each valued at $5,000, will be awarded. 

Applicants MUST be a 2016 and/or 2017 member of the Northern Texas PGA Junior Tour, have completed (or plan to complete) high school prior to August 1, 2017, and have enrolled (or plan to enroll) in an accredited college or university in the Fall of 2017. 

Scholarship finalists will be selected based on the following criteria:
1. Academic Performance - includes high school grades, GPA and/or ACT/SAT test scores
2. Extracurricular Activities
3. Personal Statement
* Financial need will serve as a selection criteria for many, but not all, scholarships.
* The involvement or achievement in the Junior Tour tournament program is not part of the selection criteria.


By submitting a 2017 Scholarship Application, you are eligible to receive any of the available scholarships. All 2017 Scholarships are worth $5,000.

PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship Program

Established in 1986, the program provides college scholarships for children and grandchildren of PGA Members. It encourages and promotes the attainment of higher educational goals for the children and grandchildren of PGA Members, based on evidence of a high level of academic achievement during high school or college. Last year, this program awarded 128 scholarships totaling $295,000.

The PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship application closed on Friday, March 5 at 4:00 p.m. CT.

Important Information

  • Applications must be completed and submitted online at PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship Program by 5:00 p.m. ET on March 3, 2017.
  • Students must submit, via mail, a sealed official transcript for the first semester of the current school year and ACT/SAT test scores. These must be IN HAND at the PGA headquarters office by March 18, 2017.
  • Please be aware of your spring break times from school as school offices may be closed.
  • If you are applying for financial need also submit the first page of your Student Aid Report (SAR).

High School Seniors:

  • Cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.4 or higher
  • SAT/ACT Test Scores
  • Expected Family Contribution (EFC) Score from SAR report, if applicable

Current College Students:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher
  • Most recently completed semester GPA
  • Expected Family Contribution (EFC) Score from SAR report, if applicable
