“I always try and hire good playing assistants. The event means a lot to me and I convey the importance of the event to my guys,” Doan said. “We feed off of each other and just really try to play well and enjoy the day. We all made a lot of birdies and bogies, and we were a little rusty, but for the most part we teamed together well.”
A total of 98 teams competed in this 36-hole Four-Ball stroke play event. The 2013 KBS Tour Shafts Pro-Assistant Championship presented by Club Car, Cutter & Buck, HP Byron Nelson Championship, PlayKleen and SNAG Golf was conducted at Trophy Club Country Club (Hogan & Whitworth Courses) in Trophy Club, Texas.
