Our geographic territory includes the State of Texas north of the 31st latitude, or just north of Austin.  In addition to managing the day-to-day affairs of the Section, the headquarters operates the Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. The Junior Golf Foundation provides The PGA golf professional an opportunity to impact the game in a most important and lasting fashion. Active involvement with junior golf is, indeed, an opportunity to promote and teach this game of a lifetime to the youth of our communities.

The PGA has the responsibility to impact the traditions and history of golf to the future caretakers of the game. The PGA of America, the Northern Texas PGA and its member golf professionals are recognized as the leaders in the world of golf today.

Mission

The mission of the Northern Texas PGA is to promote the enjoyment and involvement in the game of golf and to contribute to its growth by providing services to golf professionals and the golf industry.

The Northern Texas PGA will accomplish this mission by enhancing the skills of its professionals and the opportunities for amateurs, employers, manufacturers, employees and the general public.

In doing so, the Northern Texas PGA will elevate the standards of the professional golfers’ vocation, enhance the economic well-being of the individual member, stimulate interest in the game, and promote the overall vitality of the game.

Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation

Founded in 1983, the nationally acclaimed Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, is committed to introducing, promoting and growing the game of golf to a diverse group of kids in North Texas and instilling in them the positive, character developing traits for which the game is so well known.  Each year close to 10,000 children and their families are impacted by the game that lasts a lifetime through a full circle of programs and services including:

Introduction – Golf in Schools, Fairway to Success After School Program, Drive, Chip and Putt and Summer Golf Camps
Playing – Team Golf, Prep, Medalist Levels and All-American Tour – 400+ tournaments per year 
Education – College Scholarships – $1.79M distributed including $235,000 awarded in 2016
Employment – Internship and Camp Program 
Philanthropy – Kids Play FORE Kids, Ewing Charity Classic, Birdies for Kids and the Royal Oaks’ Great 108

The Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation is governed by the Northern Texas PGA Board of Directors.

In 2016, the NTPGA was selceted at The PGA of America's 2016 Herb Graffis Award winner. This award is annually given to the Section that has demonstrated extraordinary and exemplary contributions in player development.
