Life Member Bill Garrett Passed Away
Dear Family and Friends of Bill Garrett,
Many of you may know of Bill's recent illness, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, which was diagnosed on January, 23, 2010. He was hospitalized since then and just returned home on hospice care. He fought a heroic battle with the disease. He told us he wanted to go HOME and then to the Lord's HOME. He went to be with the Lord this morning, February 25, 2010 at 5 am.
We will celebrate his life on Saturday, Feb. 27 at a 9 am memorial service at Lakeside Baptist Church (500 W. Bluebonnet Dr., Granbury, TX 76048). There will be a fellowship time with the family in Fellowship Hall from 8 to 9 am and also an open casket viewing in the sanctuary during that time before the service begins. The family will depart immediately after the service for Amarillo's Llano Cemetery (2900 S. Hayes, Amarillo, TX 79105, 806-376-4538), Bill's final resting place. Bill will be at Wiley's Funeral Home (400 E. Hwy. 377, Granbury, 817-873-3000) for open visitation and viewing possibly by Thursday evening (2/25). There will be no formal family visitation time, but anyone who wishes may come to the Garrett home (5800 Nutcracker Dr., Granbury, TX 76049, 817-573-9012).
Love,
Judy Garrett
