THE GREAT 108
 Royal Oaks Country Club celebrated its 25th anniversary of The Great 108 on Monday, August 18 with total donations to-date surpassing the $1 million mark!
The event featured 48 youth between the ages of 7-18 who received playing lessons during the 108 holes of golf played from 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Raising substantial funds for the Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation, The Great 108 has made a significant impact on junior golf and remains one of the largest fundraisers for the Foundation.
Northern Texas PGA Executive Director Darrell Crall stated, "Randy Smith and Royal Oaks Country Club continue to showcase what one person and one club can do to make a difference in a community. Their long-standing commitment to making golf and its redeeming qualities available to all children is unprecedented, and their charitable example of giving sets a high standard for all of us connected to the game. Largely due to Randy and Royal Oaks, more than 275,000 kids have been introduced to golf in this region during the past 25 years."
The Northern Texas PGA salutes PGA Head Professional Randy Smith, PGA Assistant Professionals Abe Hernandez, James Bates, Clif Nelson, and Sean Sznajder, as well as Blair Smith and the club members of Royal Oaks C.C. for their generosity and support of the NTPGA Junior Golf Foundation.
