Welcome to the Northern Texas PGA Senior Players Tour, formerly the NTPGA Senior Associates’ Tour.
We are pleased to announce the 2011 season and the new format of our senior tour. The Northern Texas PGA Senior Players Tour will now offer the Classic Series, Championship Series and the Bill Woodward Senior-Junior Classic.
Below is a summary of each:
CLASSIC SERIES – The Classic Series events are our traditional senior tournaments featuring age groups (Overall, 50-57, 58-65 and 66 & up) for both professional and amateur divisions. These 36-hole, individual stroke play championships will offer discounted practice rounds, shotgun-starts, food & beverage after round one and purse payouts for each age group (amateurs will be awarded gift certificates). Tournament entry fee is $150.00.
CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES – The Championship Series events will be conducted as mini-tour style championships, limited to 84 contestants, for professionals and amateurs ages 48 and up. These 36-hole, individual stroke play championships will offer discounted practice rounds, tee-time starts and a purse payout to the top 33% of the field (amateurs will be awarded gift certificates). Tournament entry fees are $325.00 for Amateurs; $375.00 for PGA Members and Apprentices; and $425.00 for non-PGA Professionals.
BILL WOODWARD SENIOR-JUNIOR CLASSIC – The Bill Woodward Senior-Junior Classic is a 36-hole, Four-Ball Stroke Play championship. Each team will consist of Senior (50 and up), and a Junior (under 50) who is a NTPGA Member or Apprentice, competing in Pro-Pro and Pro-Am divisions. The event will offer discounted practice rounds, shotgun-starts, food & beverage after round one, awards and purse payouts for each division (amateurs will be awarded gift certificates). Tournament entry fee is $350.00 per team.
