The Bridlewood Golf Club team of Jamie Elliott, director of instruction and Cody Roye, assistant golf professional captured the 2009 Cleveland Golf / SRIXON Pro-Assistant Championship with rounds of 64-68 for a 36-hole total of 132, 12 under par. Elliott and Roye edged out their closest competition by five shots which included the TPC Craig Ranch team of Jim Calhoun, head golf professional and Chadd Kaiser, assistant golf professional and the team from Preston Trail Golf Club of Cameron Doan, head golf professional and Jamie Luna, assistant golf professional who finished with a 36-hole total of 137, seven under par. Elliott and Roye took home the first place team prize money of $2,000.00 from the $16,400.00 purse.
A total of 91 teams of head golf professionals teamed with their assistant golf professionals for the 36-hole four-ball stroke play event. The 2009 Cleveland Golf / SRIXON Pro-Assistant Championship presented by Cutter & Buck, RSM McGladrey and Yamaha Golf Cars was conducted at Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, Texas.
