Team of Malcom/Lewis Capture Bridgestone Golf / AHEAD Pro-Junior Championship

Lantana, TEXAS – The 2018 Bridgestone Golf / AHEAD Pro-Junior Championship was conducted at Lantana Golf Club.  The Championship featured a field of 59 teams. The team of Konner Malcom, assistant professional at Bent Tree Country Club, and Dawson Lewis (a) captured first place honors with a round of 9-under par 63. Thomas Devanna, PGA assistant professional at Tangle Ridge Golf Club, and partner Caitlyn Lindell (a), as well as Austin Kinsey, assistant professional at Pecan Plantation Country Club, and partner Christian Keto (a), tied for second with rounds of 7-under par 65.

Again for this year, the low team of a PGA professional who partnered with their child was recognized. There were a total of seven PGA professional and child teams. Taking home this honor was Simon Buckle, PGA head professional at Brook Hollow Golf Club, and his son Walker (a) who shot 2-under par 70. 

The Four-Ball Stroke Play NTPGA major championship featured teams of one PGA professional teamed with one junior golfer between 7-19 years of age. 

The top three teams as well as the top PGA professional and child team took home crystal trophies.
