Larsson and Cox (a) Capture Senior Division

LEWISVILLE, Texas (September 30) – Nick Paez, Associate at Integrity Golf Performance, and partner Denton Walker (a) captured the TPC Danzante Bay Pro-Scratch Championship. The pair carded round of 61-60–121, 23-under-par to win the Four-Ball Stroke Play event by four strokes.

Paez and Walker (a) started the final round tied for the lead but quickly got going. They went 5-under-par in their first five holes. A streak of pars at the end of the front nine only feuled a quick back nine start with four straight birdies.

The duo went bogey free through 36 holes at The Lakes at Castle Hills this week. They also set a Championship scoring record, beating the previous low score by five strokes.

“I was pretty on. I think I made 17 birdies and an eagle,” said Paez. “I drove the cart pretty well,” Walker (a) jokingly added. “It’s exciting to come out here and do well, It’s always fun to play golf with someone that you enjoy playing golf with.”

For their Open Division victory they earned a team total of $2,000 of the $26,000 Championship purse.

In the 17 team Senior Division, Dean Larsson, PGA head professional at Royal Oaks Country Club and partner Kris Cox (a), carded rounds of 63-63–126, 18-under-par. They claimed the title by three strokes.

The pair was in a three way tie for the lead after the first round, but separated themselves from the pack early into their final round. They started on the back nine and carded a 29 that featured one eagle and five birdies. They followed that up with a 34 on the front nine to secure the victory.

“We ham and egged it pretty well. When I was out of the out of the hole, Kris was in there making great birdies or pars and a couple times vice versa,” said Dean.

“It was so much fun to play as a team and represent our club (Royal Oaks). It was a special couple of days,” said Kris.

Larsson and Cox (a) earned $1,400 for their Senior Division Victory.

The TPC Danzante Bay Pro-Scratch Championship was presented by BagCaddie, Boxto, Bridgestone Golf, Callaway Apparel, and Flagstick Films.

Three Teams Tied for Senior Division Lead
By Steven Clements September 17, 2025
LEWISVILLE, Texas (September 16) – Adam Headley, PGA head professional at Green Tree Country Club captured the Joyce Crane | Veritex Bank Section Championship after a 6-under-par final round. His bogey-free 34-32–66 and a first round 69, got him to 9-under-par for the Championship and a one stroke victory. It also earned Headley an exemption into the 2026 THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson. Headley was playing in the third to last group and began the final round three strokes behind the leaders. He quickly fell further behind the lead after starting with three pars, until a birdie at the par-5 4th hole got things going. On the back nine it was a battle between Headley and Brian Norman, PGA instructor at Lakewood Country Club. Headley eagled the 12th hole and added two more birdies on 15 and 18 to close and post 9-under-par. “My goal today was to play the par fives 4-under. I accomplished that,” said Headley. “I don’t like to look at the leaderboard, but I looked at it going into 18 tee and had a feeling I was sitting pretty good there.” “Honestly I didn’t think I'd ever win one. Not because I'm not a good player but because we have so many good players in the Section. If I had to choose any tournament to win, it would be this one.” Headley earned $9,250 along with his exemption into THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson. “I’ve been a golf pro for almost 20 years and now to be playing in a PGA TOUR event, I don’t care how I do, It’s going to be a blast. I’m super excited about it, it’s a dream come true.”
