Team of Roberson and Reynolds Lead After Round One of the WellVia / The Ratliff Group Pro-Pro Championship

Shreveport, LA – PGA Assistant Professional at Preston Trail Golf Club, Corey Roberson, and partner, PGA Director of Instruction at Top Golf Dallas, Gabe Reynolds, are leading after Round One of the WellVia / The Ratliff Group Pro-Pro Championship. With five birdies and two eagles, along with 10 pars and one bogey, Roberson and Reynolds carded an impressive 8-under-par, 64, for the day.

Stuart Deane, PGA teaching professional at Texas Star Golf Course, and partner Josh Havard, PGA head professional at Rolling Hills Country Club sit two shots back at 6-under 66. 2018 champions Dean Larsson, PGA head professional at Royal Oaks Country Club, and Jeff Barton, PGA director of instruction at Preston Trail Golf Club, sit four shots back of the leaders at 4-under-par, 68, which put them tied for ninth. When asked their plan for the Championship before today’s round they stated they were “just going to do the same as last year, give [themselves] two looks on every hole.”

The four-ball stroke play Northern Texas PGA major championship features a field of 55 two-man teams comprised of PGA professionals and associates competing at Southern Trace Country Club, a par 72, 7,011-yard facility located in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Open Division is competing for $18,250 of the $25,000 overall Championship purse.

Again this year, the Championship has a Senior Division that is comprised of 15 of the 55 teams with participants paired together who are aged 50 or older. These teams are competing for a separate $6,750 purse and playing at modified yardages. Bob Elliot, PGA Life Member, and partner Gilbert Freeman, PGA director of golf at Lakewood Country Club, sit at the top of the Senior Division leaderboard after Round One at 3-under-par, 69.

GRAPEVINE, Texas – Registration is now open for the 2026 Destination Grapevine Texas Women’s Open and its qualifying events. The Championship will take place Wednesday, May 27, through Friday, May 29, at Grapevine Golf Course. This 46th year of the Championship marks another chapter in the event’s rich history, continuing its tradition as one of the premier women’s tournaments in Texas. The projected overall purse is $80,000. For the third consecutive year, Grapevine Golf Course will serve as host, reinforcing the City of Grapevine’s commitment to supporting and growing women’s golf. Known for its hospitality and spirited community, Grapevine looks forward to building on the success of previous Championships while delivering a first-class experience for players and spectators alike. The 2026 Championship continues its partnership with the ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour (WAPT). Thanks to the support of the ANNIKA WAPT, this Championship allows the top two finishers to receive exemptions into the Epson Tour’s Island Resort Championship, June 22–28 in Harris, Michigan. Additionally, ANNIKA WAPT members will earn points toward the Callaway Race to Q2, with all earnings counting toward the 2026 ANNIKA WAPT Official Money List. A total of 144 players will compete in a 54-hole stroke play format, with a cut to the low 50 players and ties after 36 holes. New for 2026, players shall gain access to compete in the Championship through qualifying events unless they are otherwise exempt.
