TEXAS WOMEN'S OPEN

The Women’s Texas Open was first played in 1935, and play stopped in 1955. Some of the game’s greatest names won the event in its early years, including Babe Zaharias and Betsy Rawls. The event was revived in 2001 by the Northern Texas PGA to promote the game to female golfers throughout the region. The name was changed to the Texas Women’s Open.

Today, The Texas Women’s Open offers a competitive tournament for some of the best professional and amateur female golfers in the country with an impressive purse.

In 2020, the Championship featured a stacked professional field that included numerous LPGA Tour members. Notable participants were Stacy Lewis, Gerina Piller, Brittany Lang, Cheyenne Knight and the eventual tournament Champion Celine Boutier.

The 2023 Texas Women’s Open resulted in a win for Grace Jin, an amateur from Huntsville, Texas, who cared rounds of 68-72-70–210 for a three-stroke victory to claim the hardware.
