Team of Martin/O'Brien Lead After Round One of the EPEC Pro-Pro Championship

The team of Ryan Martin, PGA assistant professional at Stonebriar Country Club, and Ronnie O’Brien, PGA head professional at Maridoe Golf Club, lead after round one of the EPEC Pro-Pro Championship. Martin/O’Brien fired an opening round of 10-under par, 62.
Six teams sit just three shots off the pace at 7-under, 65, and will try to apply pressure during tomorrow’s final round.
The four-ball stroke play Northern Texas PGA major championship features a field of 59 two-man teams comprised of PGA professionals and apprentices competing at Southern Trace Country Club, a par 72, 7,025-yard facility located in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Open Division is competing for $22,800 of the $29,000 overall Championship purse.
New to the Championship is the Senior Division that is comprised of 11 teams with participants paired together aged 50 or older, who are competing for a separate $5,200 purse and playing at modified yardages. The team of Paul Earnest, PGA director of golf at Four Seasons Resort and Club, and Carl Worley, PGA head professional at Hide-A-Way Lake Golf Course, lead the Senior Division at 3-under par, 69.
