Randolph Makes Late Charge to Claim the Club Car Northern Texas Senior PGA Professional Championship

LEWISVILLE, Texas - Sam Randolph, PGA director of instruction at Mira Vista Country Club, birdied three of his last four holes to seize the title at the Club Car Northern Texas Senior PGA Professional Championship.
Randolph fired rounds of 69–67–136 to finish the Championship at 8-under-par. He bested three time defending champion Cameron Doan, PGA head professional at Preston Trail Golf Club, who finished at 6-under-par after rounds of 67–71–138.
“It was a fun two days, you guys do a really nice job running our events. It was fun to finally get a victory,” said Randolph. “I played a really good front nine, I shot 3-under there and I knew Cameron and I were in for a pretty good little contest on the back nine.”
Randolph and Doan, along with three others qualified for the 33rd Senior PGA Professional Championship at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie Florida on October 21-24, 2021. The other qualifiers include the following professionals; Bruce Smith, PGA director of instruction at Black Belt Golf Academy, Billy Harris, PGA head professional at Dallas Country Club, and Jimmy Cunningham, PGA head professional at Ridgewood Country Club.
In addition to the five qualifying spots and five alternate spots, the 55-player field competed for a share of the record $11,250 purse, and Randolph took home $1,350 for his win.
Club Car is the title sponsor for the Northern Texas Senior PGA Professional Championship. The Championship was presented by Cadillac and supported by Golf Channel and John Deere.
